MORELIA, Mich., March 12, 2022.- With an eye on winning a place in the national preselection that will start the road to the 24th edition of the Central American and Caribbean Games San Salvador 2023, a total of seven judokas from Michoacan will come into action at the National Judo Championship Prof. Tomoyoshi Yamaguchi 2022, to be played this Saturday, March 12 and Sunday, March 13 in Mazatlán, Sinaloa.

Headed by the renowned coach of the discipline in the state, Emilio Montes de Oca, the Michoacan representative is made up of the following exponents: Ángel Duarte, in the U-18 Cadet category; Cristian Leon (Junior Sub-21); Joshua Bedolla (Junior-21); Esteban Jurado (Junior Sub-21), Elizabeth García (Senior), Anacaren Requejo (Senior) and Emil Montes de Oca (Senior).

In addition to summoning the first three places of each division in the women’s and men’s branches to the national preselection of the specialty heading to the Central American Games next year, the contest will serve as preparation for the athletes who will represent Michoacán in the Macro-Regional stage. of the Conade Nationals, based in Guadalajara, Jalisco, from April 6 to 8.

Starting this Saturday the 12th and until Sunday the 13th of March, the facilities of Deportivo La Cueva de los Leones in the so-called Perla del Pacífico, will host the fights in which the best judokas in the country will meet, under the competition system round-robin.
