The Premier League has decided to break the television deal it had with the Russian company Rambler TV (Okko Sport) for which it received six million euros (7.2 million euros). As of today, it will not be possible to watch the English League matches in Russia, and the 20 clubs that make up the league have chosen to donate one million pounds to those affected by the war in Ukraine.
After a weekend full of emotional gestures in all the stadiums where the Premier League matches were played, the clubs have taken action. These gestures in the 10 matches even caused Chinese television to give up broadcasting them. It is now the Premier who decides not to watch his football in Russia.
“Strong condemnation”
It took them barely 15 minutes of a four-hour meeting held in London by the 20 clubs that make up the Premier League to take this drastic measure, which is already immediate.

These rights belonged to Rambler Group, which was exhausting the last year of the three contracts that bound it to the Premier.
