On Saturday the Real Club Astur de Regatas Snipe Spring Trophy starts in the Bay of Gijón. Six days are scheduled to be played throughout the months of March, April and May.
On Saturday at 12:30 pm Snipe’s fleet will be in charge of opening the Spring Trophy. The dispute of two sleeves is planned under a trapeze course, or a pole depending on the intensity of the wind with a duration of approximately 50 minutes per sleeve.
The Spring Trophy is a long-distance competition, where regularity plays a determining role in order to win. In the last edition, José Palacio and Alberto Suarez after 8 races were the winners, followed by José Luis de la Rubia and Luis Ford, Guillermo Marqués and Jorge Fernández closed the places of honor.
