The University of Valladolid returned with two wins and one loss on the second day of the National Badminton League, held in Estella (Navarra).
The university team is in a good state of form and, as a result, it was the 5-2 victory over the Madrid team of Caser Clear Madrid, which was leading the qualifying table.
On Saturday afternoon, the UVa faced off against the always tough rival Badminton As Neves de Pontevedra, who on this occasion had several casualties in their ranks. That made the university team endorse a resounding 7-0, showing the solidity and potential that this team has.
Already on Sunday morning, the last match of this second set was against Badminton Athlos de Ourense, a team that always ends up in the top positions of the classification as it has a very balanced squad. A 6-1 against UVa would make the Valladolid team add the first defeat of the season.
Once they reached the halfway point of the league, UVa is in second position, having practically the primary objective of salvation in their pocket.
The next appointment will be in Granollers the last weekend of March against teams from Oviedo, Bellatera and Paracuellos.
