Puebla went undefeated after a 2-1 loss to Atlético San Luis, who thanks to a last-minute goal achieved their first home win since September 26 last year.
The camoteros, the last team that had not lost in Clausura 2022, missed the opportunity to go to the lead and although they fought to match the actions, the home team fought until the last second to get the three points.
Facundo Waller gave a new face to San Luis, with deep passes, opening spaces. At minute 31 he entered from the left and was about to open the account, only Antony Silva appeared to stop the Uruguayan.
At 40′, San Luis finally went ahead with a goal from Juan Manuel Sanabria, with a good split at speed.
Although the home team defended their goal tooth and nail, they maintained an offensive proposal so as not to settle for a single goal.
Silva’s presence in goal was key to prevent the score from increasing.
In the last 15 minutes, Puebla increased the speed and the offense looking for the tie, and Marcelo Barovero showed his reflexes to withstand the onslaught.
The coach, Nicolás Larcamón, sent Martín Barragán to the field of play and in a matter of minutes he answered him.
The forward found the 1-1 at 88′, in a counterattack, putting the locals to suffer.
In the last play, Atlético got up from adversity and Efraín Orona scored 2-1 at 95′, to leave Puebla with a span of noses.
San Luis has beaten clubs like América and Rayados this season, and now it was their turn to annihilate those led by Larcamón, to put a stone’s throw away from the playoff zone.
Puebla stayed in second place with 21 units.
