1-ranked LPGA World No. 1 Jin-Young Ko was spectacular in her first tournament of the 2022 season and took top honors at the HSBC Women’s Championship on Sunday in Singapore.

The South Korean finished the competition with six birdies and a single bogey. She thus gave a card of 66 (-6) for her last lap.
It was also the 15th time in a row that Ko had hit under 70, which is an LPGA record. It was also the sixth time she had won in her last 10 starts.
Ko completed the event with a cumulative 271 (-17). This is two strokes less than her compatriot In Gee Chun and Australian Minjee Lee.
For her part, Canadian Brooke M. Henderson took sixth place in the HSBC Women’s Championship standings, tied with two other golfers. The 24-year-old Ontarian shot 67 (-5) in the last round. She finished the tournament four strikes from the winner.
