Trainer Chelsea, Thomas Tuchelvoiced reaction after Roman Abramovich decided to sell the club nicknamed The Blues.
Abramovich, who has recently been linked with the Russia-Ukraine war, has confirmed he will sell Chelsea. The statement regarding the sale of the club from the English capital is contained in an official release distributed on Thursday (3/3) early morning WIB.
The billionaire, who has been in power at Stamford Bridge since 2003, was forced to sell Chelsea because of his close relationship with Russian President Vladimir Putin.
Abramovich’s assets are in danger of being frozen, as various countries impose economic sanctions on Russia and people close to Putin.
“Maybe I heard it a little earlier than you [wartawan]but still very close to kick-off, we hear rumors all day, see it on TV, when we have team meetings and eat together, everyone is talking about it,” Tuchel was quoted as saying by Metro.
“This is big news, let’s wait and see for the best and see what happens today,” Tuchel added.
The former Borussia Dortmund coach views Abramovich’s decision to sell Chelsea as fitting.

“I think every decision he makes is the right one, it’s his choice, it’s his club and it’s not my place to comment,” Tuchel said.
“In the short term for us as a team, staff and players, hopefully this won’t change anything, but the situation is known to outsiders, it’s a big situation so I understand with a lot of news,” continued the German coach.
