Four years after the last competition (2018), the Tunis Judo Open will be back for the weekend at the Radès sports hall. For this edition, 185 judokas from 23 nations, including Senegal, Tunisia, France, Morocco, DR Congo and Guinea, are expected in the Tunisian capital.
This tournament, which is an opportunity to earn points for the next Olympic Games, scheduled for Paris in 2024, promises to be tough. For this, the national team of Senegal will be represented by its best elements, in particular Mbagnick Ndiaye, who won a few days ago da 8th gold medal in a row at the national judo championships in the over 100kg category.
Moussa Diop (-60 kg), Saliou Ndiaye (-81 kg) and Abderahmane Diao (-90 kg), who managed to retain their national crowns, will also be part of the Senegalese delegation. On the women’s side, Anna Siga Ndiaye (- 63 kg), crowned champion of Senegal and Khadija Sonko, silver medalist at the national championships, are the representatives of Senegal.
