The journey of the blue to Uganda International in Badminton ends with two medals, both in the women’s doubles. Martina Corsini and Judith Mair (silver) and Katharina Fink and Yasmine Hamza (bronze) got on the podium in Kampala.
Corsini and Mair defeated Ugandan Fadilah Shamika Mohammed Rafi and Tracy Naluwooza in two sets in the semifinals (21-7; 21-12) and then were stopped in the final by the Malaysian Kasturi and Venosta Radhakrishnan, victorious in two hard-fought sets (21- 18; 21-19). The same Malaysians in the semifinals had always beaten Fink and Hamza in two sets (21-15; 21-17).
