The Autonomous University of San Luis Potosí (UASLP) showcased its basketball prowess, securing spots in both the men’s and women’s 3×3 basketball competitions at the upcoming Universiade-Regional 2022. The qualifying tournament, held at the University Sports Unit gymnasium in March, saw fierce competition among local universities.

In the men’s division, UASLP, BECENE, Universidad Vasconcelos, and Universidad Cuauhtémoc battled it out in a round-robin format. UASLP emerged as the dominant force, displaying impressive teamwork and skill. They triumphed over BECENE with a score of 14-7, outmaneuvered Universidad Cuauhtémoc 21-14, and decisively defeated Universidad Vasconcelos 22-5.
