Bundesliga side Union Berlin qualified for the German Cup semi-finals on Tuesday by beating second division side Sankt Pauli 2-1. Ghana international Daniel-Kofi Kyereh opened the scoring with a free kick for the visitors in the 21st minute. Surinamese Sheraldo Becker equalized for the Union just before half-time (45th).
Entering the game, Andreas Voglsammer scored the winning goal in the 75th and thus sent the Berlin club into the last four of the German Cup for the first time since 2001.
