There will be two prestigious ATP Masters 1000 tournaments in Indian Wells and Miami in March, but the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention has not changed its rules and Djokovic, who has not been vaccinated against Covid-19, will not be allowed to play in the United States.
Vaccine skeptic Djokovic was expelled from Australia in January after losing a legal battle for a medical exception and not being able to play in the first Grand Slam of the season. He has competed in only one tournament this season, stopping in the quarter-finals of the Dubai ATP 500.
Djokovic was on the Indian Wales and Miami tournament lists, but there was little hope of competing with Covid-19 in the United States.
In February, Djokovic said he would not be vaccinated even if he was barred from taking part in the Grand Slam.
Djokovic has won 20 Grand Slam tournaments during his career.
