A restart marked by a considerable booty. On Saturday 5th March nine athletes of the Ryu Judo Vallecamonica – led by President Flavio Testa – took part in the first round of the CSI Bergamo provincial championship held in Ciserano. An event that saw eleven clubs present and 152 athletes competing. The overall medal table of the Camuna society recorded the conquest of nine metals: six golds (those conquered by Gioele Taboni, Marco Stofler, Niccolò Pandocchi, Giorgio Bella, Sebastian Iotu and Andrea Bernardi), a silver medal (the one with Matteo Camossi) and, finally, two Bronze medals (obtained by Florin Iotu and Maria Bernardi). Results to which another positive note is added: almost all the judoki were making their debut in the competition and for the non-rookies it was the return to the competitive mat after two years of stoppage caused by the pandemic. Ryu Judo Vallecamonica is also rewarded by the ranking by company that sees them on the third step of the podium. To the second the Judo Shoganai, to the first the Ponteranica team. The second round of the Bergamo provincial championship is scheduled for Saturday 2 April, again at the Ciserano sports hall.
