Once RSC Anderlecht missed European football last season, getting a European ticket is a top priority in the Lotto Park, Peter Verbeke stated in an interview with The last news.
Verbeke stated that Anderlecht is a club under reconstruction and that a prize and winning European football could be a turning point for RSCA. “We have drawn up a business plan for the next five years. Playing in Europe next season would accelerate that plan,” said Verbeke. Nevertheless, Anderlecht remain on their guard. “We have to realize that there may also be setbacks. It is up to us to remain calm,” said Verbeke.
If Anderlecht win the cup final against KAA Gent, they will play European football next season. Anderlecht can also force preliminary rounds for European football via the Champions Play-Offs.
