The 32-year-old Judd Trump was a size too big for Matthew Selt in the final, who had to watch Trump pocket a 147-break in the 10th frame. It was the 173rd maximum break in snooker history, the 10th in a final and the 7th this season.
For Trump, it was his 6th 147 break in an official tournament. Only Ronnie O’Sullivan (15), John Higgins (12), Stephen Hendry (11) and Stuart Bingham (8) do better.
Trump also finished it off in style against Selt, with a century, good for a marked victory: 10-4. For the Englishman it is the 23rd ranking title of his career.
The overall victory at the 1st edition of the Turkish Masters gives Trump, the number 3 in the world, a check for 100,000 pounds, a small 120,000 euros.
