The title fight in Italy is unusually exciting. Inter has jumped to the leading position for the time being after a dry 5-0. Lautaro Martinez was the big man with three goals, Edin Dzeko completed it with two.

Lautaro Martinez had not yet scored in 2022 in the competition until the meeting with last-placed Salernitana.

Tonight it went without a hitch for the Argentinian. With three goals – all from within the box – he set his team on their way to a resounding 5-0 win and the provisional lead in Serie A.

Inter now have 58 points, one more than Napoli and city rivals AC Milan.
