Week 4 Schedule of Round of 16 in Basketball Champions League

By Eurohoops team/ [email protected]

After a break of almost a month due to the national teams, the Basketball Champions League returns with a full fixture. Prometey had to withdraw the team from the tournament due to the war in Ukraine, which means one less game will be played each week.

The week will kick off with the fight between Group J teams Nutribullet Treviso and BAXI Manresa. The Italian team wants to turn the tide in the Round of 16, which they started with 2 losses.

Our representatives TOFAŞ and Darüşşafaka will meet for the second time in the group fight, and winning TOFAŞ means a great advantage for the Final 8 as well. Having been victorious in all 3 matches played in the Round of 16 so far, TOFAŞ defeated Darüşşafaka 91-81 in the first match.

Another representative of Group I, Galatasaray NEF, will be away from Hapoel Holon. Galatasaray played only one game in the Round of 16 so far and they were defeated. A tough and tight fixture awaits our representative. For the Final 8, that defeat must be forgotten.

The fight between JDA Dijon and MHP Riesen Ludwigsburg will draw the spotlight of the week as both teams are at the top of their form. The outcome of the match will also play a major role in determining the group’s standings.

In Group K, only one match will be played due to Prometey’s exclusion from the tournament. Romanian team U-BT Cluj Napoca, together with Prometey, was one of the best stories of the tournament this season. The win over Unicaja was just one of their big wins this season. The Spanish team, on the other hand, aims to improve and stop the bad results after the coach change.

Finally, Lenovo Tenerife, which started the Round of 16 with 3 out of 3, will face Falco Szombathely to secure its place in the Round 8. SIG Strasbourg and Rytas Vilnius will compete for the 2nd place in Group L.
