An athletic and statistical monster, Wilt Chamberlain holds a slew of mind-blowing records in league history. However, one of them will soon change owners… An interior candidate for the MVP is indeed about to steal it from him!
Best player in the league in title, Nikola Jokic is still only 26 years old and intends to continue his momentum to amass trophies. The Nuggets pivot confirms the expectations placed on him this year, allowing his franchise to remain in the Top 6 in the West (39-26) despite the absences of Jamal Murray and Michael Porter Jr. And the guy does that with the manner, turning to nearly 26 points, 14 rebounds and 8 assists per game!
Absolutely extraordinary figures, especially for an interior in terms of its versatility. Last night against Golden State, the Serb still let loose with a daunting performance in Denver’s victory (131-124). He also slammed a second consecutive triple-double! What allow him to get a little closer to a huge record, held by none other than the legendary Wilt Chamberlain:

At the bottom of the hole, Russell Westbrook makes a fool of himself just before his match!
Nikola Jokic tonight:
32 points, 15 rebounds and 13 assists at 12/17 shooting.
It’s his 75th career triple-double. He only needs three more to equal Wilt Chamberlain among the pivots.
With 18 TDs already this season, the Joker squarely leads the league in the category. A staggering observation given his position, and it is proof that the No. 15 is not far from being absolutely unique in the history of the orange ball. Given his current pace, it is also not excluded that he will break the Big Dipper record before the end of the regular 2021-22 campaign. And knowing him, the next performances to come have something to be of the same ilk as against the Warriors:
Beyond Wilt Chamberlain’s record, Nikola Jokic can seriously consider passing the 100 career triple-double mark. At only 26 years old, the Serb has plenty of resources… definitely, what we saw with him on the court is historic.
