For the past two years, as a result of health measures, the Notre-Dame-De-Fatima Outdoor Center has been forced to reduce its offer. For the 2022 summer season, the non-profit organization can finally operate at full capacity. However, the labor shortage is of concern to Steven Grenier, director of development at the center. Present in the community since 1948, human contact is at the heart of the organization. Thus, it is impossible to reduce the workforce since the issue is the safety and well-being of small users. The possibility of reducing the number of employees is not an option. It is essential that all positions are filled.
An enriching professional and human experience
The organization stands out for its senior management and leadership. Indeed, Guillaume Roberge and Philippe Dupré-Deslandes are elite trainers. The latter are part of the national school of Quebec camps. “We teach our employees leadership, coaching, we offer them ongoing training. In addition, we operate in an enchanting setting. On a fantastic site, we live the spirit of a traditional camp. Archery, campfire, climbing are among the activities offered. We also advocate work-study balance. We also have a good brand image that young people can identify with,” says Steven Grenier.
