In a few months, Yannick’s wife, Noémie Happart (Miss Belgium 2013) will give birth to a little Carrasco Jr. At 28, the Brussels resident is looking forward to it.
“I am delighted, even if in relation to my job it will not change anything. This baby will be very very important too. Everyone says it’s magic, I can’t wait to experience it. What type of dad I’m going to be is hard to predict, but in any case I’ll be a present dad. I was unlucky with my dad so I want it to be different with my son.“
For a boy who loves football, it’s important to have a dad, even if my mother was great.
“My father’s absence shaped my character, and my mother took on both roles. But every child needs both parents, and for a little boy in the football world, a dad can give advice, support you and help you. It’s still a very masculine environment, even if women can know about it too“.
