Monique: Lise is a natural talent, but her work ethic is what truly sets her apart. She’s relentless in her pursuit of perfection, constantly pushing herself to improve. Her training is a delicate balance of intense physical conditioning, technical refinement, and mental fortitude. She understands that judo is as much a mental game as a physical one.

Moderator: That mental edge is crucial. It’s fascinating to see such a strong team dynamic emerge from the Yffiniac Dojo. Can you tell us about the team’s training environment and how you foster that bond?

Monique: The Brittany championship will be a tougher test, attracting some of the best young judokas in the region. We’re approaching it with a mix of confidence and humility.I expect everyone to give their all, learn from the experience, and continue to grow as athletes.Winning is always a goal, but I’m more focused on seeing them perform to the best of their abilities and supporting each other on the journey.

Moderator: That’s a fantastic mindset. As a former athlete myself,I know the pressure can be intense. What advice would you give these young judokas as they prepare for this crucial competition?

Monique: My advice is simple: trust in your training, belief in your abilities, and enjoy the experience. Sometimes, the pursuit of victory overshadows the sheer joy of competing.Remember why you love judo, embrace the challenge, and let your passion shine through.
