The Washington Football Team surprised the NFL world this Sunday (14), for week 10 of the American football league. At FedEx Field, in the American capital, WFT defeated the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, 29-19, based on strong defensive work, especially in the first half.
Washington’s defense showed it wanted blood in the first quarter. Bobby McCain and William Jackson III intercepted Tom Brady, giving DC’s offense good field positions. And Ron Rivera’s team took advantage. All offensive campaigns in the first half ended with points.
Brady and the Bucs even tried to recover and managed to get just four points clear in the last quarter. But Washington had a perfect drive, consuming time on the clock and coming within a yard of the endzone. In the fourth for the goal, Antonio Gibson entered the endzone and guaranteed the triumph of WFT.
