The anticipation is great, the players are excited to start. With two new junior teams, the baseball department of the Aalener Sportallianz will take part in the 2022 season in the Baden-Württemberg Baseball and Softball Association (BWBSV).
The student team (U12) meets the teams of the Gammertingen Royals 1 and 2, the Göppingen Green Sox, Heidenheim Heideköpfe 2 and the Tübingen Hawks in the Landesliga 1. The team will play its first game on May 1st in Heidenheim. And the Aalen Strikers have also registered a team in the so-called T-Ball League. There, the youngest Aalen baseball players (U 8) meet the teams from Heidenheim and Ulm in two tournaments. The first tournament is expected to take place in Ulm on July 10th. The second tournament should then take place in Aalen if possible.
Appropriately, after the long indoor phase, the intensive outdoor training session is now beginning. Every Tuesday and Friday (from 4:30 p.m. to 6 p.m.) the young baseball players train in the Rohrwang stadium. Interested newcomers are always welcome and can try out and train twice free of charge.
