Adizero x Allbirds 2.94 CO2e: sustainability, launch and price

every inch of the Adizero x Allbirds 2.94 KG CO2e has been carefully reimagined to be as sustainable as possible. The design comes with a bio-based EVA midsole made with 17% plant-based content derived from sugarcane and a sock liner that uses 46% bio-based sugarcane content.

The sole, made from 10% recycled rubber, is extremely light (1-1.2mm thick) with a minimalist design, reducing the CO2 footprint compared to conventional soles. The upper is made from 77% recycled polyester and 23% natural lyocell, a fiber made from sustainably grown wood. The lining, laces and embroidery are 100% recycled polyester.

It’s impressive that the torsion bar (a light bridge between the forefoot and heel) has been removed, but it’s still an elite shoe.
