In the three cities of the province, the activities of different sports disciplines began within the framework of the Argentine Sports Schools (EDA) program developed by the National Sports Secretariat in conjunction with the provinces.
BIG RIVER.- In the city of Río Grande the practices are: Adapted Athletics, Badminton, Wrestling, Basketball and Volleyball; while in Ushuaia those interested can sign up for Table Tennis. In Tolhuin the proposed activities are: Taekwondo, Rugby and Table Tennis.
It is worth mentioning that the EDA program makes it possible to optimize the sports itinerary by offering opportunities to participate in quality sports initiation, training and development spaces, allowing access to systematic pedagogical processes and providing teachers with spaces for continuous professional training. It is intended to encourage sports practice in boys, girls and young people from 11 to 17 years old.

On the other hand, in the work articulated with the Secretary of Sports of the Nation, on April 21, the training course “Sports Initiation and Motor Development” will be held by Gabriela Slepoy and Soledad de Igarzábal. .
