The Gamers Assembly, a unique and historic French esports event to be held from April 16 to 18, 2022 at the Parc des Expositions in Poitiers, with the support of the Greater Poitiers urban community, is enriching its Espace Famille for one more year. To ensure the return of visitors, the FuturoLAN association, organizer of the GA, has made it a point of honor to offer a space rich in playful and educational innovation and digital inclusion.

For the most nostalgic, return to the Pac-Man era, with the space dedicated to retro video games. Visitors will be able to participate in speedrun challenges on Space Invaders and high score on Tetris, or even test their knowledge with a quiz on the history of video games and the origins of esports. Also in this space will be an Atari game table, a GameBoy XXL and an exhibition of first-generation consoles.
To introduce you to dozens of new games from the publishing houses BlackRock and Gigamic, the FLIP (Festival Ludique International de Parthenay), the biggest games festival in France, will also be present at the show.
Virtual reality animations to strengthen your body and mind.
The Family Space will offer a multitude of opportunities to experience virtual reality! Visitors will be able to immerse themselves in unique worlds with walks for children, archery, snowball fights and omnidirectional carpet shooting games!

This year, on the occasion of the Gamers Assembly Festival Edition 2022, and in association with the AFJV – Agence Française pour le Jeu Vidéo, we are opening the Polygon Indie Games which reward the best independent video game studios present on our Indie space. Assembly.

The return of the Seniors trophy on the main stage of the Gamers Assembly
Eagerly awaited by visitors, the Senior Trophy is also back in person. Organized by the Silver Geek collective since 2009, the best Wii Bowling players will once again compete for the final on the Gamers Assembly stage, in an atmosphere of madness.
For months, the seniors of the various EHPADs and retirement homes of the 4 departments of the former Poitou-Charentes Region trained to throw the ball, chain spares and strikes and qualified for the grand final. This unique moment provides the audience with suspense, unexpected twists and turns.
Silver Geek aims to help seniors age well and allows different generations to create social ties. In order to develop social and intergenerational ties, while reducing the digital divide, visitors will be able to discover the aging simulator on the games Just Dance and Wii Bowling.
Contests and animations on the Cosplay universe
On the occasion of its great return to the Parc des Expositions in Poitiers, the Cosplay competition is back with a vengeance on the main stage of the Gamers Assembly! Come and watch the participants’ scripted parades where the most impressive and realistic outfits in the image of video game and pop culture characters will be rewarded.

We no longer need to present the Minecraft stand organized and administered by FuturoLAN and the Endorah association on which challenges on the game of the same name will be offered, as well as a new new construction.

On the esport competition side, Shaunz, famous streamer of the Twitch platform accompanied by his team Aegis will come to cast the grand final TeamFight Tactics. The Gamers Assembly will also have members of the famous Touraine team Solary present in large numbers in official competitions in its players’ halls.
