Daniil Medvedev is out for a good part of the clay court season and even for Roland‐Garros!
The Russian announced the bad news on his social networks this Saturday afternoon, a few days after his defeat against Hubert Hurkacz in the quarter-finals in Miami where he appeared exhausted. He said he had been playing with a hernia for the past few months and therefore decided to fix the problem with a small operation.
” Hi all. For the past few months, I’ve been playing with a small hernia. Together with my team, I decided to do a small procedure to solve the problem. I will probably be out for a month or two and will work hard to be back on the pitch soon. Thanks for all the support”wrote the world number 2, who will therefore not catch up with Novak Djokovic anytime soon.
