Aware of Strength, Malaysia Is Not Big on Targeting Gold at the SEA Games

BOLASPORT.COM – The Badminton Association of Malaysia (BAM) is not grandiose in targeting gold medals for its players at the 2021 SEA Games in Vietnam.

Just like Indonesia, Malaysia will also field young players at the biennial event.

Considering the implementation of the SEA Games also coincides with the Thomas and Uber Cup championships.

If the last edition of the SEA Games, Malaysia managed to bring three gold medals successfully brought home.

This time the Malaysian badminton squad is only targeting one gold at the SEA Games Hanoi, Vietnam next month.

It was said that the head coach of the Malaysian badminton team for the SEA Games, Misbun Sidek.

“I understand, it’s time for us to highlight young players like Justin Hoh, Siti Nurshuhaini Azman and Ong Xin Yee,” said Misbun Sidek, quoted from Berita Harian.

“So they can gain experience and be braver. This is important so that there are players who can face Malaysia’s challenges in the future, “
