Ivan Rakitic is still very much liked in Barcelona. Yesterday he played again with Sevilla at Camp Nou and after the match there were a lot of fans who would like to have his shirt. Because he only has one, he gave away his short not much later. In the end, he only walked across the field in his underpants.
Rakitic left Barcelona in 2020 and due to corona this was the first time he has played in a packed Camp Nou since then. He got a lot of support from the Barça fans. He was treated to a round of applause before the match.
He didn’t manage to win with Sevilla, it was 1-0. But he didn’t lose his smile and so gave away all his equipment after the match.
