During an interview with Spanish radio RAC1, the president of FC Barcelona Joan Laporta said he wanted to bring Lionel Messi back to Barcelona for the inauguration of the new Camp Nou. The Catalan explained that despite the departure of the flea at Paris Saint-Germain last summer, the Argentinian would always be welcome at Barça because “it’s his house”.
“My communication with Messi is not as smooth as before but I would like Leo to be present with us during the inauguration of the new stadium”, said the Barcelona leader. Messi made 778 appearances for FC Barcelona, scoring 672 goals, delivering 303 assists and winning a remarkable 34 trophies.
