After the sporting relegation, BG 74 Göttingen will not apply for a license for the coming season in the women’s basketball Bundesliga. Managing Director Richard Crowder justified the waiver with too many imponderables. Many injuries and corona-related absences among players, the withdrawal of sponsors and co-managing director Roland Emme-Weiß for private reasons and a lack of support in the organizational area were reasons given by Crowder to withdraw to the second division north. The contract with coach Goran Lojo, who is also coach of the Bosnian national team, is to be terminated after three years in the summer. A new coach will be announced in April. According to the BG 74, the possibility of possibly remaining first-class with a wildcard is not taken up.
