Club Judo Kaï: a convincing first attempt

JUDO. The provincial U12 judo tournament took place on April 2 and 3 in Repentigny. From the Club Judo Kaï of Sainte-Marie, 9 of the 10 participants managed to reach the podium of the competition.

Indeed, Antoine Rancourt (1^is), Julia Marcoux (1^time), Justin Cyr (1^is), Rayan Faucher (1^is), Lauhïc Turgeon-Cadorette (1^is), Catherine Cyr (2^e), Rosalie Thivierge (2^e), Antoine Cyr (2^e) and Lauralie Marcoux (3^e) succeeded in distinguishing themselves, while Olivier Rancourt can be proud of his participation.

“It’s the first time we’ve taken part in the provincial tournament. The club came 2nd in Quebec in the U12 category, it’s extraordinary! The youngsters did very well. I’m surprised at the club’s ranking after only 5 years of existence”, is satisfied Réjean Lavoie, technical director of Club Judo Kaï.
