The Rabanales university campus served last weekend as the starting point for the Córdoba Provincial Circuit of badminton for the 2022 season, which held its first day. An activity organized by the Córdoba Badminton Club and which brought together 115 boys and girls from eight clubs from Córdoba and the province, playing a total of 193 games, in one of the most numerous provincial games in recent years. All this, moreover, with only three age categories.
In this sense, the most outstanding clubs in the medal table are CB Montilla (two golds, four silvers and eight bronzes), CB Rute (one silver and five bronzes), Club Bádminton Córdoba (five bronzes), CB La Encina (four golds , three silvers and two bronzes), CB Sierra Morena (three golds and one silver), CB Baena (one silver and three bronzes) and CB Volante Rute (four golds and three silvers).
Finally, the individual champions in each category were David Espejo and Lola Portero in sub 11, Álvaro Fernández and María Hinojosa in sub 13, and Guillermo Muñoz and Sara Arenas in sub 15. David Espejo and Fernando Ortega won in doubles in sub 11; Álvaro Fernández and Álvaro Palomo, Carmen Baena and María Hinojosa, and Víctor Morante and Claudia Vergara in sub 13; Jorge Rey and Adrián Sánchez, Sara Arenas and Ángela Moyano, and Guillermo Muñoz and Alba Romero in sub 15.
