Daniil Medvedev is injured – hernia forces the tennis star to take a long break

Daniil Medvedev said on Instagram and Twitter that he is expected to take a “one to two month break” and work hard to return to the pitch “as soon as possible”.

It is therefore questionable whether the US Open champion will reach the French Open (May 22nd to June 5th live on TV at Eurosport) gets fit.

The 26-year-old was only at the start of the ATP Masters in Miami this week. If he had reached the semi-finals, Medvedev would have regained first place in the world rankings from Novak Djokovic.
