1 april 2022 – Dynamo Kiev has made a mistake in announcing the charity campaign. The Ukrainian club announced on Friday that it would play practice matches with various major clubs from Europe and initially Ajax was also in that list. However, the team from Amsterdam knew nothing about it, after which Dynamo Kiev quickly rectified this.
Due to the war situation in Ukraine, the national competition is currently on hold, but Dynamo wanted to do something. That is why it organizes a series of charity competitions to raise money for the Ukrainian people on the one hand, and to draw attention to a statement on the other. The motto of the campaign is: ‘Match for Peace!’
Although the announcement of the match against Ajax turned out to be incorrect, there are quite a few other opponents to play against. In the coming period, Paris Saint-Germain, FC Barcelona, AC Milan, FC Basel, Steaua Bucharest and Legia Warsaw will be the opponents (or allies) of Kiev.

Champions League opponents of Ajax Benfica, Sporting Clube de Portugal and Borussia Dortmund will soon face Dynamo Kiev in a charity match. The matches are broadcast on Ukrainian television channels, as well as on various European channels. The club indicates that it does not know how Ajax ended up in the list, but confirms that it does not belong there.
