Videos on social networks showed a fan of the electric team at Capwell exchanging insults with followers of the two-time champion of America, images that were reproduced by the Brazilian press.

“In a video circulating on social networks, a boy wearing an Emelec shirt provokes Palmeiras fans with curses and laughter when they rebuke him,” he said. Globe Sports.

The newspaper Lance also published the news: “Party between Emelec and Palmeiras registered another case of racial insult in the Libertadores”.

The episode at the millionaires’ stadium occurred a day after a Boca Juniors (Argentina) supporter was arrested for racist gestures in the cup match against Brazilian Corinthians, in Sao Paulo, and later released on bail.

In mid-April, a River Plate fan was also the protagonist of racist gestures against supporters of the Brazilian team Fortaleza, also in the Libertadores. (D)
