The music video for ‘End of Time’, a masterpiece of chamber music by French contemporary music master Olivier Messiaen, produced by the ensemble Beautiful Rendezvous (Artistic Director Garam Kim), where the main characters of Korean classical music gather, was released on the night of December 30 in Korea time. 10 o’clock Ensemble Beautiful Rendezvous will be released on YouTube channel.
The End of Time project is expected to create a new wind in the cultural and artistic world by adapting Messiaen’s ‘Quartz for the End of Time’ and ‘Merle Noir’ to capture the post-corona era.
This work, which is composed of contents that foretells the last era of mankind, such as the concept and phenomenon of time and space changing as much of our daily life is moved online, and the rapid change of the global environment, is actually a story about life in a prisoner of war camp after participating in World War II. and reflects the intention of composer Messiaen, inspired by the Bible’s ‘Revelation’, and asks the question of ‘what is truly eternal’ in a chaotic era like war.

Ensemble Beautiful Rendezvous’s End of Time project has been enhanced with the participation of Kim Ga-ram, clarinetist Kim Woo-yeon, violinist Lee Git-bi, cellist Jae-seong Lim, and flutist Hyo-jin Hwang, including Kim Ga-ram. The album will be released simultaneously on all domestic and foreign music sites.
