Sports activity does not stop at Expourense, once the athletics season is over, the fairgrounds continue to host new sporting events, yesterday the Galicia Top TTR N7 Sub-13 and Sub-17 badminton tournament was presented, which is held today attracting a hundred athletes of these categories from a dozen clubs.
In this test, of national category, scoring for the Spanish ranking of categories, the participants will seek victory in a tournament that will begin around 10:00 a.m. and will continue uninterrupted until after 9:00 p.m., when the awards ceremony will take place.
The Athlos Sports Club, with the support of the Galician Badminton Federation, carries the organizational weight of this event, which is the first of several federation and school events that will take place throughout the month of April.
The novelty of this tournament lies in the dispute at the Expourense site where, thanks to the setting up of a top-quality multi-sports court, sporting events beyond athletics can continue to be held, increasing the versatility of the facilities that seek to put the city the province on the national and international sports map. The regulations applicable in the competition will be those approved by the regulations of the Galician Badminton Federation for this 2022, according to which in this tournament only participants can register for two tests and one day of competition with the exception of sub-11 and sub -13 who can enroll in three tests.
