Four Veracruz tennis teams qualify for Conade nationals

Four Veracruz tennis teams qualify for the next Conade 2022 National Games to be held in the state of Baja California; In addition to advancing, they won 2 championships in the 14 Women’s and 16 Men’s categories, as well as two runner-ups in 14 Men’s and 16 Women’s.

The delegation of the Entity from its first day of activity demonstrated the high level of competitions held in the facilities of the Club Campestre Yucatán, Mérida. During the event, the best racket players of the 14 and 16 year old categories participated in women’s and men’s branches and represented the states of Campeche, Chiapas, Oaxaca, Puebla, Quintana Roo, Tabasco, Veracruz and Yucatán.

In the last final, representatives of the state of Veracruz in four categories made an appearance that after an intense day of duels they managed to advance to the last national phase. In the Women’s 14 category, Veracruz defeated Puebla 2-0 with Maribel Aguilar Gasperin and Hanne Estrada Cortes who defeated Zyanya Saavedra Carrera, 6/0, 6/7, 10-8 and Valeria León Morales, 6/0, 6/ 1 respectively.

Category 14, men, Veracruz falls 2-0 with Yucatan; Marcelo Gallegos Gutiérrez, loses to Agustín Martínez Gasque, 0/6, 1/6 and Julio Zárate Fernández, to Valentino Arjona Gutiérrez.

For its part, in the women’s 16 the Entity also fell 2-0 in Women’s Category 16 with Quintana Roo. Sofía Becerra Morín, lost to Katina Zepeda Barrios, 0/6, 4/6. Natalia Sousa Salazar, lost to Ximena Senties Castro, 4/6, 4/6
