Hamann settles accounts with Bayern: “No one takes responsibility”

After the surprising CL-Aus against FC Villarreal, there was criticism for FC Bayern from all sides. Didi Hamann also does not leave a good hair on his former club and above all criticizes the management team at the German record champions.

Hamann has been very critical in recent weeks and repeatedly attacked Munich verbally. After the CL debacle against FC Villarreal, the TV expert followed suit and took his former teammates Oliver Kahn and Hasan Salihamidzic to heart.

“Everything just floats along”

In his “Sky” column, Hamann primarily criticizes those responsible in Munich: “The biggest problem is the lack of leadership. It started with last year’s AGM. No one takes responsibility and that’s how they play football.”

Hamann takes on club manager Kahn in particular: “The self-discovery phase must finally be over. Oliver Kahn has to speak up on certain topics and set verbal accents.”

According to Hamann, the weakness in leadership rubs off on the sporting results: “You have to show a clear edge again and communicate this to the outside world. But that doesn’t happen and everything just floats along.”

According to the 48-year-old, the transfer policy also suffers from the unprofessional behavior of those responsible: “The weakness in leadership and the associated uncertainty is also a problem for the acquisition of new players. When Bayern called earlier, the call was usually followed. But at the moment, as a player, you don’t know what’s going to happen, whether you want or should go to Munich,” stressed Hamann.
