(Jupiter) Harrison Bader avoided arbitration by agreeing to a two-year, $10.4 million contract with the St. Louis Cardinals on Monday.

The center fielder will pocket 4.7 million each season.
The agreement also includes a $1 million signing bonus.
Last year, Bader set career highs with 16 homers, 50 RBIs and a .267 batting average in 103 games.
He also won a Gold Glove for the first time in his career.
In five major league seasons, Bader had 47 home runs, 147 RBIs and 40 stolen bases.
The Cardinals open the regular season Thursday in St. Louis against the Pittsburgh Pirates.
