How do they do it? Now the Rams sign Bobby Wagner

The Rams they keep racking up stars on their top-tier roster, and now it’s the turn of seven-time All-Pro LB Bobby Wagner.

According to ESPN’s Adam Schefter, the star linebacker signed a five-year, $50 million deal with Los Angeles, with the possibility of going up to $65 million by earning his incentives:

Wagner has not only been a guy with individual achievement, but he was also a five-time captain of the Los Angeles defense. Seahawks, playing 110 of 113 possible games with them, giving it their all. However, he was repaid for his large contributions with a surprise dismissal in early March.

The Rams strike again

As usual, Los Angeles has searched for a star with revenge spirits. The team makes sure of talent, without really spending much, as happened with LB Von Miller and WR Odell Beckham Jr. a few months ago.

In this case, while the Seahawks despised their old captain like nothing, the Rams were already scheming how to attract Bobby Wagner.

The linebacker had just gotten 170 tackles in 2021, that is, his best record as a professional. If we take into account that he accumulates at least 100 in each of his ten seasons in the NFL, it was a matter of reassessing his role in his new team.

GM Les Snead, an aggressive guy and a master negotiator, just had to give him the star treatment he deserves and it shows with his signed deal.

This ultimately spreads among the players themselves, who like Bobby Wagner, are going to keep coming to Los Angeles, so don’t expect this to stop any time soon.
