Velo Badminton chairman Cock Diemel has a lot to do with the organization of the tournament. Because it is quite a large tournament, about 100 volunteers participate. “Despite the competition, all badminton players from the different countries treat each other as friends,” says Diemel. The solidarity at the tournament and among the participants is very high. “Two Ukrainian ladies are participating in the tournament, money has been collected for them so that they can participate. That is of course wonderful,” says Diemel.
