Jake Paul knocks out the Houston Rockets mascot in a “brawl” in an NBA game

YouTube star-turned-boxer Jake Paul punched a mascot during an NBA game between the Minnesota Timberwolves and the Houston Rockets.

Jake Paul is one of the most infamous gaming YouTubers, amassing over 20 million subscribers on the platform, with another 19.2 million fans on Instagram.

The former founder of Team 10 has also acquired a taste for professional boxing as he currently boasts a 5-0 unbeaten record with more fights on the horizon.

On April 3, 2022, Paul could be seen attending the NBA game, sitting on the sidelines for the event before being confronted by the Houston Rockets mascot “Clutch” and knocked out.

In a Twitter video uploaded on April 3, 2022, the NBA mascot approached Paul in an oversized pair of boxing gloves, making fun of the 25-year-old’s profession.

According to the video, Paul wasn’t much amused when he landed a right hook on the bear mascot, knocking him unconscious on the pitch in what was fun additional entertainment for the fans in attendance.

They were heard gasps from the crowd after the younger of the two brothers Paul punched the animal.

Paul stayed in the game when the Rockets lost 139-132 to the Timberwolves, just one day after his older brother Logan made a successful appearance at WrestleMania 38.

“Jake should be disqualified, he wasn’t wearing gloves, he clearly had an unethical advantage,” joked one fan.

“Brother, this video is obviously staged, it’s a pet,” another fan said.

“The clutch has to be the most despised mascot in sport,” said another.

Meanwhile, Jake Paul simply uploaded his video of the fight to Instagram with the caption “Will Smith’d em,” referencing the Oscar winner’s viral moment in late March.
