Joris Ide, who bought Anderlecht together with Marc Coucke, calls it a bad investment

Marc Coucke bought Anderlecht in 2017 together with his good friend Joris Ide. Almost five years later, Ide sees this as a bad investment.

“It has been a bad investment. Point”, says Ide at The time† “Because I’m not a football fan, I saw it as a real investment. But it has already been partially written off in our books. Although, I think Marc will straighten that out. He once helped KV Oostende forward.

Doing business with friends can sometimes go wrong. Apparently this has not tarnished the relationship of the two businessmen. “Whether there is resentment between me and Marc? We don’t even talk about that. We regularly eat something together, but then there is no need to say a word about it. If in life you can’t talk about the good things of people , you just have to shut up. I’m a director there, but I didn’t care about the club either. Marc did that for me. So be it. I’ve made good money in my life from other things. You win some, you lose some,” explains Ide.
