‘Juventus offers Neres a possible way out three months after Ajax’s departure’

David Neres is on Juventus’ radar. That reports Gianluca Di Marzio, transfer expert of Sky Italia, Thursday evening. The Brazilian is at a dead end at Shakhtar Donetsk.

Due to the Russian invasion, there will be no football in Ukraine for the foreseeable future. Neres fled the country with his Brazilian teammates in late February and has been sitting at home ever since, awaiting news. Juventus may offer him a solution. The former Ajax player is in the interest of the Old Lady.

FIFA allows players from clubs from Ukraine and Russia to finish the season elsewhere, but according to Gianluca Di Marzio, Juventus sees Neres mainly as a reinforcement for next season. It is unclear to what extent the Brazilian is also interested in this.

Neres (25) left Ajax last winter for allegedly twelve million euros. He played in Amsterdam for five years and had one of his highlights against Juventus, when he scored the equalizer in the first quarter-final of the Champions League in 2019.

According to Di Marzio, Ángel Di María (Paris Saint-Germain, transfer-free after this season) and Nicolò Zaniolo (AS Roma’s star) are also on Juventus’ wish list.
