Korea Open Badminton Championships 5-10 days at Suncheon Palma Gymnasium

The Korea Open, which started in 1991, is Korea’s representative major international competition and is broadcast live around the world through the International Badminton Federation.

About 650 athletes from 24 countries will participate in this event, including Yupei Chen (China), a gold medalist at the 2020 Tokyo Olympics and world ranking 3rd, and Fusala Sindhu (India), a hero of badminton in India and bronze medalist at the Tokyo 2020 Olympics.

Badminton legend Lee Yong-dae, women’s singles signboard Ahn Se-young, women’s doubles Lee So-hee and Shin Seung-chan, and Kim So-young-Gong Hee-yong are all in attendance.

In particular, Ahn Se-young, a leading female badminton player in Korea, is aiming to win the Korea Open for the first time in her life as she ranks 4th in the world rankings. She last March she won her silver medal at the All-England Open.
