Badminton: Lucie Amiguet on the podium in France

The best of Swiss tchoukball will meet in La Chaux-de-Fonds on Saturday 23 April. The semi-finals and the final of the Swiss Cup at the Halle Volta.

Swimming: Red-Fish swimmers shine on the international scene

A prosperous weekend for the Red-Fish Neuchâtel (RFN). The swimmers of the Neuchâtel club have distinguished themselves both nationally and internationally.

Present at the Junior Multinations in Kranj (Slovenia) with the national team, Ilan Gagnebin and Dario Marcone managed to stand out. The first named won two butterfly medals. He snatched silver in the 50m (24.76) and bronze in the 100m (54.81). In Slovenia, Dario Marcone managed a good 200m backstroke and finished eleventh in the 4 x 100m freestyle relay.

Competing in Limassol (Cyprus) for the Youth Multinations, Manon Richard has once again demonstrated the extent of her talent. The 14-year-old finished in the 200m backstroke and 100m butterfly.

In the Swiss pools, the people of Neuchâtel shone in the final of the Swimming Hopes Cup in Yverdon. Thaline Beljean (15) finished second in the 200m medley and third in the 400m freestyle. Alena Eggen (15) won the 100m breaststroke and Ekaterina Vorobyova (15) won the 100m Butterfly.

Finally, Loane Richard (13) also won the 100m butterfly in her age category.

In Yverdon, residents of the La Chaux-de-Fonds (CNCF) swimming club have achieved good results. Jonathan Schmidt was third in the 100 breaststroke and Niall was fourth in the 100 freestyle. / COMM FCH


Triathlon: Naël Gumy third in Wallisellen

The first national competition of the triathlon season took place this Sunday, April 10. The only Red-Fish Neuchâtel representative involved, Naël Gumy finished third in the 14-15 year old category.

First at the end of the swimming test, the Neuchâtel resident dropped a little ballast on his bike. Thanks to an excellent run, Naël Gumy was able to secure his place on the podium. / COMM FCH
