Manu Ginobili to be inducted into NBA Hall of Fame

After Tim Duncan and pending Tony Parker – eligible next year – the third member of the magic trio of San Antonio Spurs will be inducted into the NBA Hall of Fame. Manu Ginobili is in the promotion of 2022, the composition of which was announced on Saturday. The Argentinian fullback has won four titles with the Texans (2003, 2005, 2007 and 2014), the only franchise he has had in 16 NBA seasons.

A three-time All-Star, Ginobili was selected with the 57th pick of the 1999 Draft while still playing in Europe. One of the best shots in draft history. Olympic champion in 2004 with Argentina, after beating Team USA in the semi-finals, the back had retired at the end of the 2018 season.

In the promotion of 2022, Ginobili rubs shoulders with another Olympic champion: Tim Hardaway. The point guard was a gold medalist at the Sydney Games in 2000. In 15 NBA seasons, mainly with Golden State and Miami, Hardaway however failed to win a title. Coach George Karl (1175 NBA wins) and two-time Olympic champion Swin Cash will also enter the Hall of Fame.
