Marc-Antoine Perron-Rousseau back in Saint-Georges

BASEBALL. The Jarrets Noirs de Beauce organization has announced the return of a player much loved by fans next season, pitcher Marc-Antoine Perron-Rousseau.

Perron-Rousseau played with the Jarrets Noirs for three seasons. Last year, the Beauceron played with the Thetford Mines Blue Sox in the Quebec Major Baseball League (LBMQ).

He also wore the colors of the Cascades de Shawinigan for four seasons previously. In his career in the LBMQ, Perron-Rousseau hit five home runs and produced 37 runs in 154 at-bats.

New Players

In recent weeks, the Jarrets Noirs have announced the arrival of five new players. Of the lot, three of them played with the junior BB formation of the Black Knights of Saint-Georges last season. These players are outfielder Jonathan Beaudoin, position player and pitcher Guillaume Mathieu and receiver Philippe Tremblay.

Pitcher and infielder, Anthony Ouellet is a product of the Artilleurs de Lévis-Centre, a team with which he won the championship last year. In three seasons with Lévis-Centre, Ouellet has accumulated rather interesting statistics both on the mound and on offense.

The last recruit, Anthony Fortin played three seasons, from 2018 to 2021, with the Black Knights. The right-handed pitcher will return to Saint-Georges, having decided to complete his junior career with the Quebec Diamonds last season.
